Vance Badawey, Member of Parliament for Niagara Centre, and Chris Bittle, Member of Parliament for St. Catharines, on behalf of the Honourable Amarjeet Sohi, Minister of Infrastructure and Communities, today announced new public infrastructure projects under the Clean Water and Wastewater Fund that have been recently approved in several Niagara municipalities.
These projects, funded over $14.1 million are a part of the $569,642,000 being invested in Ontario in 2017 under the Clean Water and Wastewater Fund. The Federal Government is providing up to 50 percent of funding for these projects in the province of Ontario. This funding will improve safety, and water quality, for families in Niagara Centre.
These projects include:
Federal Contribution: $4,819,660.00
City of Niagara Falls:
Federal Contribution: $4,802,586.00
City of Port Colborne:
Federal Contribution: $509,655.00
City of St. Catharines:
Federal Contribution: $2,479,888.00
City of Thorold:
Federal Contribution: $540,062.00
City of Welland:
Federal Contribution: $928,571.00
